THIS Will Solve A LOT Of Problems…

But Most Fans WON’T Like It 😬

This is going to be one of the biggest transfer windows United have had in a long ass time. Harry Maguire was on about this a couple days ago and he’s absolutely correct.

The club has so many areas to improve — both on the pitch and off it. To get back to where we want to be, it’s going to take time.

But do we even have that time?

Remember, “Project 150” is about winning the league in 2028 — the 150th birthday of our club. Would be one hell of a way to celebrate.

But the problem is no matter what United do, it’s almost impossible to fix everything at once.

Unless you make one massive decision.

Like, a BIG one.

Sell Bruno Fernandes.

Yeah… I know.

Sell Bruno Fernandes? Bruno Magnifico? Captain Bruno? Our best player Bruno?

Alright, how much have you had to drink, because someone’s clearly lost it.

I get it. As far as big decisions go, that’s probably the biggest of the lot. And selling the skipper would cause absolute uproar as he’s arguably the most loved player at the club and the heartbeat of the team besides.

But it’s exactly because of how much he offers that a decision like this could be the difference between a good summer… and a transformative one.

However, this only works if — and it’s a massive if — United actually use the money properly.

Now before people panic, there’s nothing concrete linking Bruno with a move at the moment. The most we’ve seen is some noise around Saudi.

But that’s actually where this gets interesting.

Last year, Al Hilal were reportedly willing to pay around £100m to take him to the Saudi Pro League. Even Fabrizio Romano confirmed the talks were legit.

And Bruno seriously considered it.

At the time, I would’ve said yes. He wasn’t performing at the level we expect, there were questions about his captaincy, and he was being used out of position.

Now though? He’s back to his best.

Yet a part of me would still sell him.

Not the answer you expected, right?

At the end of the day, I support Man United — not Bruno FC. As good as he is (and he’s basically carried this team since he arrived six years ago), you have to think about what’s best for the club long-term.

Look at Liverpool with Philippe Coutinho under Jürgen Klopp.

They sold their version of Bruno to Barcelona for £142m. At the time, a lot of fans were upset.

Until that money brought in Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk.

That one decision transformed the club.

I’m not saying it definitely works like that for United but it shows what’s possible if you get it right.

With £100m, you’re not just replacing Bruno, you’re fixing multiple problems.

Midfield gets rebuilt. Squad depth improves. Balance becomes better. And instead of relying on one player to do everything, you actually start to see a team.

There’s also the financial side. Bruno’s on around £300k a week — that’s over £15m a year. Add that to players like Casemiro leaving, and suddenly there’s serious room to operate.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth…

When Bruno doesn’t play, we look shite.

Like properly shite.

And that’s exactly the problem.

We’re too reliant on him.

What happens when he’s gone anyway? Age, decline, whatever it may be — we’ll be forced to deal with it then.

So why not start building something more balanced now?

Right now, it feels like we’re constantly trying to shoehorn players into the XI just to fit around Bruno.

Take Matheus Cunha for example. He’s playing out wide when he’s clearly more dangerous centrally. And we know he ain't gonna bench Bruno.

If the skipper goes, Cunha can move into his best position of attacking midfield, and United are forced to build a more balanced system rather than relying on one individual.

This will also force us to sign that proper left-winger like Yan Diomande. I know that Patrick Dorgu has been amazing there but is that his long-term position?

I also feel like another factor to consider is this: Bruno wanting to move for himself.

There's no guarantees that he'll stay beyond this summer even if it seems likely.

But should a club like Barcelona or Bayern Munich want him and make him an offer he can't refuse, Bruno might be tempted.

Let's face it, he's far too good for this team, and has been since he joined. And to have won just a Carabao Cup and FA Cup for a player of his quality is not exactly incredible.

He might want to compete and win the big trophies which a player like him deserves.

This next contract might well be his last biggest deal in football. Would he want to risk it on yet another rebuild?

I think he'd want a lot of guarantees as well before making such a decision.

Of course, all of this comes down to recruitment, which is the biggest risk of all.

Even with £100m, do we trust this club to get it right?

That’s the real question.

Selling Bruno sounds crazy, and it is.

But it might also be the kind of decision that takes United from just “improving”… to actually transforming.

At the end of the day, this is what it comes down to:

Keep Bruno Fernandes and you keep your best player, your leader, your safety net.

Sell him, and you take a risk — but give yourself a chance to fix multiple problems at once and actually build something bigger than one individual.

There’s no perfect answer here.

Just a choice between comfort, and a potential reset.

So what are you doing?

Are you keeping Bruno… or cashing in and backing the rebuild?

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
