All reports suggest that the next interim manager (or Head Coach) of Man Utd has already been decided. Despite ex-Red and former manager of the club Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being the early frontrunner not long after the sacking of Ruben Amorim, it has now emerged that ex-Red and former manager of the club Michael Carrick will be the man in the dugout for the remainder of the season.

There were slim pickings with all due respect to the candidates but out of all those names, I felt most attached to Carrick.

We've done the Solskjaer thing, Fletcher doesn't seem ready yet and while Carrick was a manager of the club previously, that was only for a handful of games as he took over from Ole whom he was assistant for before the Norwegian was sacked.

It almost feels like unfinished business with the ex-midfielder and I'm happy that the club appears to be going for him instead of what was the popular choice of Solskjaer.

Here's my quick reaction to the news 👇

Let's hope that despite the difficulties of the job, Carrick can do a good job.

What do you think about him potentially getting the interim role ahead of Solskjaer?

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
