Bruno should’ve broken the record today!

I know that you’re all thinking it. And it may not be the most positive opening to this post but boy, those attackers have to have a long hard look at themselves for what they did.

Put Bruno through it all because of their misses 😭.

But ngl, a somewhat difficult one to discuss because we already knew there were no consequences to this game regardless of outcome for both sides so naturally you don’t play to the best of your abilities.

Yet on the other, there was much to play - to an extent - for United.

At least Bruno finally managed to equal the record. We don’t need to worry about him not doing that at least when it looked like for all the money he was going to comfortably beat the 20 set by Thierry Henry and Kevin de Bruyne.

The magnifico hadn’t assisted in his last two so things were getting a little too squeaky bum 😬.

He still has one game to break that record but really, it isn’t all on him because the amount of chances wasted…

We saw Shaw score for the first time in three years, and if that is happening against you, then Forest, you really deserve to lose.

Cunha was on the score sheet (fortuitously) and Mbeumo managed to find the back of the net after what felt like three years without a goal for him. He did appear to try his hardest to miss when looking at how many opportunities he wasted. Bruno felt that pain more than anyone else.

However, United broke a little-known record that few have been discussing. With Cunha and Mbeumo both scoring, that means we are the first team in Premier League HISTORY to have three players core 10 or more goals in their debut season:

Sesko - 11

Cunha - 10

Mbeumo - 10

Quite a record indeed and shows how good those signings have been.

We even saw a good performance by United target Elliot Anderson who also grabbed 2 assists, the first of which was a cross that Sir David Beckham himself would’ve been proud of.

United also managed to beat Forest for the first time in five games.

And of course, a fitting farewell to Casemiro, a man who has truly left his mark on us all.

I suppose the only thing missing was a goal from Unc but I guess you can’t have everything.

The game itself was entertaining too what with the 5 goals, teams scoring straight after each other and a very surprising VAR call that benefitted United.

A fitting end for the final home game at the Theatre.

The only issue I had was in Carrick not using any youngsters. I felt that in a game like this with no jeopardy and playing in front of your home fans, this would’ve been the perfect time to rotate a little. Even his substitutions came quite late.

Other than that though, there aren’t too many complaints.

Job done at home for another year ✅.

But next week, those fools better take Bruno’s chances!

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
