Is Semenyo Really All That?

I Don't See The Hype ❌

I feel like this is a problem with modern football. When someone does well for a short period (sometimes a game) or does badly for a game or three, people are so quick to go one way or the other.

Play well for a couple of games = brilliant player.

Play badly for a couple of games = not good enough.

Sometimes this is done for the same player!

Antoine Semenyo has been good this season, one of the best players in the league. However, it has only been 11 games into the 25/26 campaign and in the last couple of matches, he and Bournemouth have fallen off a little.

There's no doubt he is a talented player but I really don't see why we have to be linked with him after a handful of good games. Should he perform like he is for the rest of the season, then we can talk.

Give me a follow on TikTok while you're there 👍.

What do y'all think? Am I being too harsh on Semenyo? Or do you agree with me that he isn't all that (yet)?

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
