It's very rare that in a game of football you see so much praise for a player who didn't get a goal, didn't assist a teammate, didn't create too many things in attack, didn't prevent a goal, and yet all people can talk about is that one player.

Matheus Cunha is that player.

I was very excited when we signed him from Wolves and he is still the most exciting of the four signings we've made. However, unlike Mbeumo who is now our top scorer with 3 and Sesko who had back-to-back goals before Liverpool, and Lammens who has been exactly what we were looking for in goal, Cunha hasn't actually done anything.

But, he has done so much.

Amidst several good performances, Cunha's was still a standout despite not doing the typical things that would make one standout. And that speaks volumes.
