And I'd just like to agree with Michael Scott by saying

No,God please, No. No. No. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

‍

Let's get things straight, does Garnacho have to leave? Yes, yes he absolutely has to. Guy's attitude is not what we need at United and we know that the manager basically told him to fuck off.

I would rather he didn't go to a Premier League club because it's always hard to see United players play for rivals and even harder when it's promising academy players. He should go to Napoli instead. I think he'd get more first team game time there whereas at Chelsea, he'll have to fight it out with the likes of Pedro Neto, Jamie Gittens and others although they do look to be selling quite a few of their forwards.

But to swap him with Jackson?!

Hold the fucking phone βœ‹. Just because we want to get rid of a player doesn't mean that we should just give him to another club and then take away one of the players they don't want.

And it's hardly Cold Palmer, is it? If it were him, I'd leave South Africa, pick Garnacho up, take him to Chelsea and bring Palmer back to Carrington. He is a boyhood United fan after all so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

Nicolas Jackson. Nicolas Jackson!

We've done some terrible deals in the past but this would be right up there. Garancho is much better than Jackson and would he truly be the type of striker that would elevate our game? Would he take us to the level we need to be? Would he be able to help make next season a success?

And to go from targets like Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, even Liam Delap, to Jackson. Talk about major downgrade, am I right?

You know the reports but ICYMI, this is coming from Pete Hall who writes for the likes of Reuters, SkySports, the I Paper and more and he's saying that "Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho could trade places this summer with both Chelsea and Manchester United keen to accelerate player sales.

United have turned their attentions to Jackson as they desperately look to add firepower to their underperforming strike force.

No bids have been launched as yet, but the interest is there, especially if he can be acquired at a knockdown price with Chelsea overloaded in the striker department" via UtdJoshua03.

I know Hall is no Romano or Ornstein but he isn't the only one discussing this deal as Ben Jacobs has reported it and even the Times Sport has said so as well.

It is credible stuff.

Chelsea fans don't even rate Jackson or rate him enough to make it seem as if they'll be sad to see him go. We do rate Garnacho but it's because of his attitude and disrespect towards the club, manager and fans that the majority would rather him leave.

Jackson draws mixed feelings from the CFC fans. Some do admire some of his footballing ability but others questioned his finishing and similarly to Garnacho, has discimplinary issues.

He is not a player that is of the quality to be starting week in, week out for clubs like United and Chelsea. Perhaps as a backup who can do a job, sure, but to be the main man, not so much.

You also have to ask yourself the question of if Chelsea are happy to let him go, then did they rate him highly in the first place? Obviously they don't so why should we be looking at taking their scraps? We already did with Mount and look how that turned out? At least with him he was actually a top player wheras that cannot be said of Jackson.

‍

On top of it all, Chelsea created more chances (454) than United (400) in the Premier League last season. We know that United struggle to create opportunities for the no 9 for multiple reasons which isn't something faced by the Blues.

When looking at the shots taken last season by Jackson, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, you can see that the Chelsea man far outperformed his United counterparts.

64 for Jackson versus 25 for Hojlund and 19 for Zirkzee. If you look at the two clubs in the midfielder and forward positions, you can see that for Chelsea, other than Cole Palmer with 86 shots, there is no other player above Jackson for most shots taken. For United we have Bruno Fernandes (65), Garnacho (55), Amad (27) and even our CDM Casemiro who was left out for a period by Ruben Amorim has the same amount of shots taken as Hojlund (25) but 6 more than Zirkzee.

Yes with the addition of Matheus Cunha and having other creatives like Bruno and Amad in the team, maybe there's more of an opportunity to create chances for the striker.

But then you take a look at big chances missed and sitting in 8th spot with 16 in the PL last season is Nicolas Jackson. So he could be one whom the chances are created for but he misses them.

We know that with Rasmus, he at least takes his chances more oft than not it's just that he doesn't have very many that are created for him.

So we can see that Jackson maybe slightly better than what we have but he too, is a risk. We aren't in a position to be taking risks. That's why we needed a proven goal scorer. Oppositions also won't shake in their boots seeing Nicolas Jackson starting up front for United.

He isn't as terrible as some might make him appear, but Jackson certainly isn't a striker who's going to elevate our game and potentially boost us to the level we want to be in the next season or three.

Final Thoughts

This whole Jackson link started off as a funny joke but not news that I took seriously. However, as time has gone by and as there's been more noise around this potential deal, it has gotten a little too serious.

It ain't funny no mo!

Chelsea will be getting the better deal by far. They actually want Garnacho even if he isn't top of the list. We weren't linked with Jackson until all our main striker targets went off to other clubs and it came out that the Senegalese would be open to leaving the Blues.

We're now getting desperate because we messed up. BIG time.

It's a definite no from me on this potential deal. Not sure whether I made that clear.

I feel the majority of United fans feel the same.

Yeah, I can talk and talk and talk about the things I love, like football and United, as you can see in this post. Once I get on a roll, it's pretty hard to stop me. This is all coming from a guy who doesn't talk that much. How weird.
